Feb. 1986 Established as Nihon Ugimag Corp. on basis of joint venture
agreement between KAWASAKI STEEL CORP. and Aimants Ugimag
S.A. (France) with capitalization of ¥ 200 million.
Oct. 1986  Start of construction of hard ferrite production facility in Chosei-gun Chonan-machi, chiba.
Dec. 1987 Start of hard ferrite production.
Sep. 1988 Joint venture agreement with Aimants Ugimag S.A.terminated ; Nihon Ugimag becomes 100010 owned by members of KAWASAKI STEEL GROUP.
Jul. 1989 Company name changed to KAWATETSU MAGNEX CORP.
Oct. 1989 Start of construction of soft ferrite production facility at KAWASAKI STEEL Mizushima works, Kurashiki, Okayama.
